अंबेडकर और उनकी यादों का म्यूजियम

दिल्ली ही नहीं बल्कि देश में यह पहली ऐसी इमारत है जिसे एक खुली किताब (ज्ञान के द्वारा सशक्तिकरण) के रूप में ढाला गया है। यह इमारत है अंबेडकर म्यूजियम जोकि संविधान निर्माता बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर की यादों को संजोने के लिए बनाया गया है। दिल्ली की आइकनिक बिल्डिंग के तौर पर बनाया गया है यह अंबेडकर म्यूजियम। यहां पर आप बाबा साहेब को लाइव भाषण देने के साथ-साथ उनसे संबंधित हर चीज को देख ही नहीं बल्कि सुन भी सकते हैं, महसूस कर सकते हैं। संविधान को लाइव पढ़ भी सकते हैं। यहां आकर आप बाबा साहेब के जमाने को बखूबी फील कर सकते हैं। बता दें कि 26 अलीपुर रोड स्थित भवन में बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर ने 1 नवंबर 1951 से लेकर अपने महापरिनिर्वाण 6 दिसंबर 1956 तक निवास किया था। दरअसल, यह संपत्ति राजस्थान के सिरोही के महाराज की थी। बाबा साहेब के 1951 में केंद्रीय मंत्रीमंडल से इस्तीफा देने के बाद उन्हें यहां पर रहने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था। अब यह भारत सरकार की संपत्ति है। अब यहीं पर केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता मंत्रालय ने डॉ. अंबेडकर नेशनल मैमोरियल तैयार किया है। इसकी आधारशिला प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 21 मार्च 2016 को रखी थी और इसका उद्घाटन भी मोदी ने ही 14 अप्रैल 2018 को किया।

अंबेडकर लाइव
इस म्यूजियम की खासियत इसका जीवंत होना है। यहां हर चीज इस सलीके से रखी गई है कि देखने वाले को बनावटी न लगे बल्कि ऐसा महसूस हो कि उसके सामने ही सारी घटनाएं घटित हो रही हैं। यहां आकर आप अंबेडकर का लाइव भाषण भी सुन सकते हैं। अंबेडकर के इस रोबोटिक पुतले (एनिमेट्रॉनिक्स) को अमेरिका से एक करोड़ की लागत से लाया गया है। म्यूजियम में डिजीटल इंडिया की झलक साफ देखी जा सकती है। यहां कुल 22 प्रोजेक्टर लगाए गए हैं।

पढ़ें डिजीटल संविधान 
इस म्यूजियम में संविधान की मूल प्रतियों को रखा गया है। साथ ही संविधान के एक-एक पन्ने का डिजीटल पेज भी तैयार किया गया जिसे दर्शक बखूबी पढ़ व सुन भी सकते हैं। वहीं, संविधान के मुख्य पेजों को बड़े आकार में डिस्प्ले किया गया है। इसके अलावा यहां पर सदस्यों को संविधान सौंपते व हस्ताक्षर करते हुए पुतले भी लगाए गए हैं। यहां पर संकल्प भूमि के नीचे अंबेडकर को बैठे दर्शाया गया है। कहा जाता है कि अंबेडकर पहले बड़ौदा के महाराज सायाजी राव गायकवाड के यहां काम करते थे। लेकिन उनके पास घर नहीं था और एक दिन उन्हें निकाल दिया गया। जिसके बाद वह एक पेड़ के नीचे बैठे और संकल्प लिया कि वह देश से जात-पात का अंतर खत्म करेंगे।

पंच तीर्थ और अंबेडकर म्यूजियम
जानकारी के मुताबिक यह पूरा प्लान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का था। उन्होंने ही अंंबेडकर से जुड़े पंच तीर्थों को एक म्यूजियम में समाहित करने की परिकल्पना को मूर्त रूप देने की पहल की थी। बता दें कि अंबेडकर की जन्मभूमि  (मऊ, मध्य प्रदेश), शिक्षा भूमि (लंदन), दीक्षा भूमि (नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र), महापरिनिर्वाण भूमि (अलीपुर रोड़, दिल्ली) और चैत्य भूमि (दादर, महाराष्ट्र जहां अंतिम संस्कार हुआ) को पंच तीर्थ नाम प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दिया था। इस म्यूजियम को विकसित करने का मकसद भी यही था कि पांचों तीर्थों का सुख एक जगह मिले।

म्यूजियम के डायरेक्टर डॉ. देवेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि इस म्यूजियम में अंबेडकर के अध्ययन कक्ष को भी डिस्प्ले किया गया है। यहां पर किताबों का ऑरिजिनल कलेक्शन रखा गया है। एक मेडिटेशन हॉल भी तैयार किया गया है जिसमें वियतनामी मार्बल की मूर्ति को जयपुर के आर्टिस्ट ने महात्मा बुद्ध की प्रतिमा में ढाला है। इसके अलावा यहां आप ओबामा, जवाहर लाल नेहरू और मोदी के उन बयानों को सुन सकते हैं जो अंबेडकर के विषय में दिए गए थे।

Jasmohan Singh takes over as Chairman of CII Haryana State Council

Anuj Munjal becomes Vice Chairman of CII Haryana State Council

Mr Jasmohan Singh, Managing Director, Frick India Ltd, and Mr Anuj Munjal, Executive Director, Munjal Auto Industries Ltd have been elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of CII Haryana State Council, for the year 2018 – 19, states a release from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The new Chairman, Mr Jasmohan Singh is a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the USA with a specialized course in Computer Engineering. He heads operations in manufacturing and sales within as well as outside India of Industrial Refrigeration & Central Air conditioning equipment in his organisation. He has also served as the Vice-Chairman of India-USA Foundation for Industrial and Technology Collaboration.

The new Vice-Chairman, Mr Anuj Munjal is an MBA in Finance & Marketing. He has more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing. Over the years, Mr Munjal has prudently used his skills in finance, marketing, human relations and operations to deliver results in every sphere of the organisation. Mr Munjal has overseen the setting up of three new manufacturing facilities, added new customers, and has driven the company towards achieving its set standard

Industrial Relations Summit 2018

Role of Technology in Industry, Re-Skilling and related Employment scenario will be key concern areas in future : Ms Kalpana Rajsinghot, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment

Ms Kalpana Rajsinghot, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment while sharing her views at the CII Industrial Relations Summit held today in New Delhi spoke about the challenges that the industry will face in future and how it will impact the entire employment paradigm. She stressed on the need to re-skill the workforce to meet the challenges that shall emanate from new disruptive technologies. She also shared with the participants the view of the government in simplifying and combining the various labour acts into primarily four buckets. Simpler labour laws will go a long way in promoting Ease of Doing Business that will in turn have a positive impact on employment creation. 

Sharing his perspective, Mr Virjesh Upadhyay, All India General Secretary, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, stressed on the need for greater dialogue, trust, communication between employer and employee. Mr Upadhyay dwelt that stronger relation coupled with trust will reduce the need to reach out to the Government for adjudication. He emphasized that the relations are not built by laws but trust and personal touch. He then gave example of how a process initiated by government to get leading Industry players and Trade Unions to talk to each other, though did not have tangible outcomes but it led to trust building and reaching a position where in both the sides could understand and appreciate each other’s side of story. He also stressed that growth of employee is directly linked with growth of the company and it is critical for both to understand the same.  The militant nature of trade unionism has become a thing of past and he mentioned that both employers and employees should take advantage of the changed scenario to chalk out a growth path together. 

Mr S Y Siddiqui, Chief Mentor, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, initiating the Summit highlighted the five megatrends that are and will impact the way companies will run. These five megatrends were Global Business Uncertainty impacting business all across; Power of IT and impact of Social Media; Speed in decision making and in adapting becoming a critical factor; Digital Era- Artificial Intelligence etc; Change & Turbulence in all aspects of life.  Mr Siddiqui challenged the traditional methods of employee relations and highlighted the Engagement Model as the way to go forward. A transparent, honest, proactive model which is inclusive in its approach will have a positive impact in employee & employer relations.  He emphasized on the need for leadership to lead by example and also to take out time to communicate with all levels of employees in a structured manner. 

Mr D L Sharma, Chairman, CII NR Committee on HR & IR and Managing Director, Vardhman Threads & Yarns Ltd shared that how there has been a positive change in the outlook of management and workforce. Both now see each other as an important part of their growth story.  He also said that the shopfloor level leadership, line managers / supervisors have a direct bearing on the employee relations as they are the first point of conflict resolution. Giving example of textiles & apparel industry, Mr Sharma highlighted how critical it is for the employees to be skilled and reskilled on regular basis to meet the demands of the customer. In last couple of decades more and more MBA-HR students have opted for more glamorous Service Sector industry instead of the rigour of Industrial Relations in Manufacturing sector. 

The Summit brought together IR professionals, CEOs, Senior professionals from across the country to deliberate on issues such as Impact of Leadership on Employee Relations; Employee Engagement with Shopfloor Associates; Preventive Approach in Employee Relations : Listening through Grievance handling; Initiative on Labour reforms – win win strategy.

CM Mehbooba Mufti intervene in re-opening of Sharda Peeth Pilgrimage in POK

Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd.) meets J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti- seeks her immediate intervention in re-opening of Sharda Peeth Pilgrimage in POK

Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd.) called on J&K Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti and briefed her about the recent developments on re-opening of Sharda Pilgrimage in Muzaffarabad, POK, particularly in the wake of Supreme Court of POK (AJK) order on preservation of Sharda peeth. Recently Chief Justice of POK Hon'ble Chief Justice Jenab Chaudhary Mohammad Ibrahim Zia gave the historical judgement on preservation of Sharda Peeth in Muzaffarabad district of  POK. This landmark judgement dated 2^nd. January’2018 was addressed to Ravinder Pandita, founder of the committee . A memorandum was presented to the Chief Minister asking her indulgence for reopening of pilgrimage that has not been held since last 70 years. Earlier She was presented with the soil and flowers received from PoK civil society and the photographs depicting recent developments & efforts by the committee on the pilgrimage.

The delegation was led by Sh. Ravinder Pandita, Head of the committee, who stressed the need for an amendment to LOC permit rules to include annual pilgrimages besides meeting relatives as contained in the permit rules, presently. The meeting lasted 45 minutes and the issue was thoroughly discussed with regard to Cross LOC heritage & religious tourism. The Chief minister was briefed about the strategic importance of the site by former Lt. Gen. (Retd) Ata Hasnain, who is also the founder member of the committee. Other members included Adv. Vinod Trisal, member of the committee,Sh. Vijay Vaishnavi from KP Sabha Chandigarh, Smt. Kusum Pandita , Shrawan Pandita and others.The Chief Minister while appreciating the efforts of the committee assured the committee members that she will be personally taking up the matter with Prime Minister earnestly.

In a press release the founder Head of committee Sh. Ravinder Pandita has said  that these temples like Sharda and other shrines and not only of religious but historical & archeological importance too. We have been striving for the Re-opening of Sharda pilgrimage on the lines of Nankana sahib Lahore annual yatra by sikhs. Though we have LOC permit in place for J&K state subjects, but it is meant for meeting relatives only living across Loc hence we are deprived of visiting Sharda - the basic seat of learning. The last yatra undertaken was by our Guru Swami Nand Lal Ji, a great saint of Kashmir during partition in 1947. His followers included the then sarpanch of Sharda village namely Zaman Khan.

Although we have formed a committee and pressing our government for a dialogue with Pakistani Government, yet much needs to be done at people to people contact as well. Last year  we got a breakthrough when a few friends of ours living in Muzaffarabad called Civil society in POK laid flowers on our behalf in the temple and sent us sacred soil & these flowers to India. we all Kashmiris in particular hail the great and kind act and later in March this year we had sent a photo of Goddess Sharda at their address in AJK which was installed inside the temple, but the same is not seen there now in their recent visit in October. “ I have received lot of visiting pilgrim delegations from POK here in New Delhi and these people have shown absolute willingness and have invited us for pilgrimage to Sharda and the restoration of same thereof”, Ravinder Pandita said..

As far as restoration of these religious sites is concerned, our committee is willing and undertakes the restoration work and any assistance thereof. The Hon'ble court may take suo-moto cognizance of our undertaking especially for Sharda temple in POK, which is our heritage. This may bridge lot of differences between kashmiris separated by LOC at the moment. Temples & shrines are being restored and reclaimed by our sister organization APMCC in Kashmir valley as well, though we are out of valley for the last 28 years. The struggle for re-opening of Sharda pilgrimage and setting up of Sharda University in J&K cannot be undermined. Save Sharda committee Kashmir (Regd.) had earlier written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan undertaking to work on the restoration work of temples & shrines in Pakistan and Sharda in POK, in particular. Earlier the committee founder Ravinder Pandita met Sh. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi MOS minorities in Govt. of India recently in New Delhi along with a delegation and discussed steps for preserving religious shrines in Pakistan. The minister assured  the committee that Govt. will take all possible steps and give financial assistance also in consultation with his counterpart in Pakistan for preservation of minorities shrines in Pakistan.

Living consciously, giving back to society is a business skill: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

“The purpose of wealth is to create wellness. Finding balance and inner peace is essential for entrepreneurs as well as citizens. Both are a pre-requisite for growth and development,” said Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, The Art of Living. Speaking on the third and final day of the CII Partnership Summit 2018 in a session titled “Special plenary with a social icon” in Visakhapatnam on Monday, the spiritual guru said, “Wealth means health. Not just an absence of ill-health but a soul functioning at the highest level of one’s consciousness.”

“You cannot squander half of your health to earn wealth and then squander half of your wealth to regain health. It just doesn’t make business or economic sense”, the Gurudev pointed out.

Pointing out to the problems that a blind resort to development can produce, he said that the “UK government had now to create a department solely to tackle the problem of loneliness in society.”

He said that “sewa” or giving back to society should be an important mark of an entrepreneur’s mental makeup as that will giving him “the greatest satisfaction” and the best use of the wealth that he has created.

Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, said that the “only way to leads one’s life is by adopting integrity and ethics as a life skill. Creation of ill-gotten wealth will create problems.” Mr Naidu explained that one of his government’s aim was to make a “happy society” even while maximising growth and development and that he had announced a “happy Sunday” to encourage citizens and their families to come outdoors and mix with the community as “human interaction was a critical ingredient in upping the happiness quotient of the people.”

On the prevailing quest for “instant gratification” by both citizens and businesses, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that while that was a “normal human instinct”, developing an attitude of “patience” was a necessity. “We need passion but not feverishness, need dispassion but not apathy. We need dynamism infused with patience and consciousness,“ he cautioned.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar outlined three mantras for success for in the Indian situation today. One, trust in oneself; two, trust in the Indian system; and three, trust in the resilience and dynamism of the Indian people.

Asked about today’s increasing resort to the gadgets like the smartphone as a constant and demanding companion, he said, “Sometimes we need be in the airplane mode. Keep the devices aside for some part of the day and try to connect with nature, the community and experience silence. It can be therapeutic and remove some of the imbalances in your mental and spiritual makeup. Most of all, invest in yourself. Shift the context of your universe”.

Cosmetic surgery is not the only reason of superstar Sridevi's death: Dr. Monica Kapoor

The untimely death of megastar Sridevi due to a cardiac arrest took everyone into a shock. The 54-year old actress, who dominated the cinema in the 80s, went to Dubai to be a part of a family wedding. There have been widespread speculations about the unexpected death, with many experts and doctors alleging innumerable cosmetic surgeries that she underwent.

Toxic doses of local anesthetic that are administered during the surgery are said to be the major cause behind sudden cardiac arrests. However, Dr. Monika Kapoor holds contradictory views about the same. Condemning the ideology that completely blames the surgery and medical treatments as the cause behind, Dr. Monika - who is a cosmetic surgeon herself, says, “Cosmetic surgeries could not be the only reason for someone’s sudden death. We can't blame medical procedures for such disaster, but the reason behind getting these cosmetic surgeries, i. e constant mental and social stress to look at their best could be blamed to an extent.”

Elaborating further, she said, “If cosmetic surgeries were responsible for such death then, this could have happened long back in the past. Sridevi had undergone such surgeries in her early 40s as well.”

Citing the example of Michael Jackson, Monika explained, “Prominent personalities like MJ underwent different cosmetic procedures and surgeries but nowhere in the world, surgical societies / medical societies blamed the cause of sudden death to these surgeries.”

Dr. Monica also gave reference of other surgeries people undergo, and which are neither harmful. “People sometimes need multiple surgeries for tumour removal or for a complete cure, but that doesn't kill them. The constant social and mental stress to look picture perfect is the main culprit behind it and not these surgeries. So I believe the reason behind the surgeries I.e society or family pressure to maintain the status and profile, might have caused the sad demise of our the most iconic stars of all times
